What is STOTT PILATES®?
STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary approach to the original method created by Joseph Pilates. Developed by Moira Merrithew and Lindsay Merrithew, it blends classical Pilates with modern exercise science to create a safe, balanced, and effective movement experience.
With a focus on core strength, posture, and mindful alignment, each session is guided by five key principles — breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular stabilization, and head and neck alignment — helping you move with strength, confidence, and ease.
It makes me feel strong, connected to my body, and challenges me to be present and focused. While I’ve always had a passion for fitness and wellness, Pilates brought an awareness to movement and my body that I had never had before.
I still love zoning out to good music on a run or hopping on my Peloton for a Club Bangers ride- but Pilates taught me the power of tuning in and moving with purpose.
As a certified STOTT PILATES® instructor, I guide clients through thoughtfully designed workouts that build strength, enhance mobility and control, and leave you feeling energized, empowered and just a little sore - in the best way!

What type of classes do you offer?
Private personalized sessions. Classes are customized based on your goals, needs and abilities.
Where is the studio located?
Studio is located within my home in the west end of Ottawa, ten minutes from Stittsville and Kanata, five minutes off the Queensway at the Carp Road exit.
What is a Reformer?
A reformer is a specialized Pilates machine featuring a sliding carriage, springs, straps, and pulleys. It provides both resistance and support to create a full-body workout that builds strength, flexibility, control, mobility, and balance.
Can beginners do Reformer Pilates?
Absolutely. Reformer Pilates is suitable for all fitness levels — including beginners. Each session is tailored to your experience and goals.
What should I expect during a session?
Your initial session includes a review of your health history, a discussion of your goals, and a postural assessment. This information guides the development of a personalized program tailored specifically to you.
Expect thoughtfully programmed reformer flows designed to challenge your strength, improve mobility, and build confidence. You’ll work hard, move with intention, and leave feeling accomplished — possibly shaking, definitely stronger.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move freely. Fitted attire is recommended so alignment can be observed and fabric does not interfere with the reformer springs or straps. Grip socks are highly recommended for safety and hygiene.
Please avoid clothing with zippers, as they may damage the equipment.
Do I need to bring anything?
Please bring a water bottle, grip socks, and a hair tie if needed.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive five minutes before your scheduled session. Driveway and street parking are available.
What forms of payment do you accept?
E-transfer and cash are accepted.
